What causes the MacBook disc drive fault?
The main reason we see MacBooks with drive faults is accidental damage. If a disc isn’t inserted perfectly straight it can dislodge the rollers that bring the disc in and out again. If any pressure is put on the MacBooks where the disc drive is, it can cause the housing of the drive to bend preventing discs from being inserted properly.

Sometimes, a disc-drive fault can be cause by an electrical fault.

How do we repair the MacBook disc drive fault?
The first thing we do before any repair is test the MacBook to confirm the fault. We then proceed to open the MacBook and have access to the disc drive.

We inspect the internal parts, gears and motors to see where the fault lies. Any faulty parts are replaced, the MacBook mechanism is realigned and tested out. We will test the MacBook a number of times on our testing bench prior to releasing it for dispatch.
